Ms. Raky Gassama is a Senior Knowledge Management Officer at IDEV.  She holds a Master's degree in Development Studies: Social development (labor, training, health) and Project Evaluation from the University Paris I, Pantheon Sorbonne - Institute of Economic & Social Development Studies (IEDES) and a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences (Sociology and Science of Education) from University Paris V, René Descartes. Before joining IDEV, Raky held several positions for over ten years within the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA): as program consultant to facilitate the coordination of policy dialogue initiatives and as the Knowledge Management Officer for the implementation of KM strategies based on research, analytical work, capitalization of good practices, dissemination of results and knowledge sharing. She has previously worked for UNESCO/BREDA in Senegal.  

Raky counts among her achievements, the coordination of the development of the first ADEA Learning and Knowledge Management Hub. She acted as interim chairperson of the technical team (ADEA-AU/CIEFFA) for the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange (KIX) Observatory on COVID-19 Responses in primary and secondary education systems to track and share evidence of ongoing national policy and practice interventions in 41 GPE member countries in Africa. She also coordinated three editions of the Education Research in Africa Award (ERAA) program in collaboration with the African Development Bank's ECAD division. Over the years, Raky has worked with a range of stakeholders and actors in the education and training sector in Africa, including multilateral, regional and bilateral agencies; governments; academia; civil society, private sector and youth networks for various flagship policy dialogue and knowledge-sharing events.
