Najade LINDSAY
Knowledge Management Officer

Najade Lindsay is a Knowledge Management Officer at IDEV. She has worked in various international roles, including International Coordinator for the Association « Les Compagnons du Devoir »  - an organization placed on UNESCO’s list of Intangible Cultural Heritage and as Communications Officer for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Nouakchott, Mauritania. In this role, she developed and implemented an outreach strategy to get children’s and women’s issues in terms of health, nutrition, education, employment, innovation, and protection into the public domain, and strengthen political will in support of UNICEF's mission and objectives.

In 2016, Najade joined the African Development Bank to work as a Knowledge Management, Communication and Events Consultant in the Independent Development Evaluation Department.  From 2018 until March 2021, she worked within the Bank’s Civil Society and Community Engagement Division, as an Outreach Consultant. In that position, she led the Division’s communication and outreach aimed at fostering engagement with civil society-but also with other stakeholders such as internal Bank staff or international organizations across Africa. The role reenforced her conviction that engaging a wide range of diverse stakeholders is crucial to building partnerships that will ensure success in achieving the continent’s development goals.

The mandate of the African Development Bank addresses her concerns on development issues in Africa, and she aims to contribute to the mandate with the know-how, competence and efficiency accumulated from her current and previous experiences.
