Lina joined IDEV in July 2023 as a Knowledge Management Consultant. Over her career, she has mainly worked in Tunisia, in the areas of gender, migration and human security, and cooperated with the government and civil society/trade unions for the following organizations: Friedrich Ebert Foundation, Geneva Centre for Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF Tunis), UN Women, UNDP, IOM, the UN Office of the Resident Coordinator, the Center of Arab Women for Training & Research-CAWTAR, and the International Labour Office-ILO/BIT. She also has solid experience in KM, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL).
Lina holds a Ph.D. in Geography and spatial management from the University of Montpellier III, in co-supervision with the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She graduated in 1998 from the ISCAE - University of Tunis in Economic and Social Administration. She did a postdoc “Jean Monnet Fellow” in the field of migration at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies - European University Institute in Florence-Italy (2008/2009), including a short research mission in the Centre of ethnic studies (CEETUM) in Montreal-Canada.
