Jacqueline Nyagahima is a Principal Knowledge Management Officer at IDEV. She holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, UK; an MSc with specialization in Computer Science, from Makerere University, Uganda; and a BSc. with Education from Makerere University. Prior to joining IDEV, Jacqueline worked as a Communication and Knowledge Management Consultant in the African Development Bank (AfDB).
She served as the head of communication, information and public relations at the Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa (ASARECA) for close to 6 years. She counts among her achievements, raising the profile of communication and knowledge management both at the ASARECA Secretariat and among the member national agricultural research systems. She was in the core team that conceived and developed the Masters program in agricultural information and communication management (AICM). This Masters is now offered in several universities in Eastern Africa, including the University of Nairobi and Egerton University in Kenya, Haramaya University in Ethiopia, and Makerere University in Uganda.
