 Akua Arthur-Kissi is a project/programs management expert and evaluator with a background in knowledge and capacity development. She has worked on a wide variety of corporate, country program and thematic evaluations since she joined the Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV) at the African Development Bank in 2009. She has been the lead evaluator for several country program evaluations and operation process evaluations and contributed to a major learning report on the quality assurance of the Bank’s operations (2018). She also takes credit for her contributions to previous influential evaluations of the Bank’s activities: Budget administration, Procurement, the Paris Declaration Review and Fragile States. Prior to joining IDEV, Akua worked in the sector and country operations departments and the knowledge management unit of the Bank in various roles. She also worked as a program associate with HIV/AIDs Program for West and Central Africa by the German Technical Cooperation, (GIZ) in Accra, Ghana (1997-1998). She holds an MSc in Project and Program Management from Warwick University, UK, a B.A in Business Studies from Sunderland University, UK and an Executive Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School, USA. She is also a Certified Knowledge Manager with the Knowledge Management Institute (KMI) USA.
