Mr. Samson HOUETOHOSSOU is from Benin and holds MPhil in Applied Macroeconomics.Since he joined the Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV) at the African Development Bank (AfDB), he has participated in several evaluations: sector, thematic, corporate and country evaluations. These evaluations include the evaluation of the Bank's support for regional integration, the evaluation of economic and sector work, the evaluation of program based operations, the evaluation of portfolio management, etc. He has also conducted several country strategy and program evaluations, including that of Morocco, Tunisia and Mauritius.
Before joining the Bank, he worked for the Development Policy Analysis Unit in Ministry of Development of Benin where he conducted research in the field of inequality and efficiency of tax system and participated in capacity building activities.
Mr. HOUETOHOSSOU has also got many consultancy contracts in the fields of policy analysis, development planning, public finance and performance-based budgeting. He is interested in issues of economic growth, regional integration and aid effectiveness.
