Principal Evaluation Officer

Mohammed Jalaludeen is a Development Evaluator by training and practice. He joined IDEV as Principal Evaluation Officer in March 2021 from the Operations Evaluation Department (OED) of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). In this capacity, he contributes to the delivery of the division’s program by leading moderately complex evaluations, supervising evaluation teams, and mentoring and coaching junior colleagues and supporting work program management.

He joined the IsDB in August 2014 as an Evaluation Specialist and rose to the position of Lead Evaluation Specialist. During this period, he led/involved in different types of evaluations, including Project Performance Evaluations, Project Completion Report Validations, and high-level evaluations such as Project Cluster Evaluations, Program, Sectorial, Thematic, Corporate Evaluations and Country Strategy Implementation Reviews.

Prior to joining the IsDB, he worked in different capacities in Monitoring and Evaluation at the Ministries of Lands and Natural Resources and Education of Ghana for 13 years, where he led/contributed to the development of M&E frameworks and systems for national development programs and projects including the Ghana Land Administration Project (World Bank/DFID/KfW/NDF/CIDA), Skills Development Fund (DANIDA), Ghana Skills and Technology Development Project (World Bank) and the Development of Skills for Industry Project (AfDB).

Mohammed Jalaludeen is an IPDET trained evaluator and holds master's degrees in Development Evaluation and Management and Public Administration from the University of Antwerp (Belgium) and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, respectively.
