Eric Nazindigouba Kere is an Economist, statistician and Econometrician with over 10 years’ professional experience. He is highly experienced in leading research and evaluation in the field of economics, and international development. He has strong publications record in high ranking international peer reviewed journals (including Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Ecological Economics, European Review of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Regional and Urban Economics,…) as well as book chapters, reports and working papers series using macro-econometric models, stochastic dynamic programming models and spatial econometric models.
Eric joined the African Development Bank’s Independent Development Evaluation (IDEV) in November 2018 as Senior Evaluation Officer, in the Division in charge of agriculture, human development, governance, corporate and country evaluations (IDEV2). Recruited within the framework of the Bank’s 2016 Young Professional’s Programme, a three-year leadership opportunity for the development of AfDB’s future leaders, he had already served at the Industrial and Trade Development and the Macroeconomics Policy, Forecasting and Research Departments as an Industrial Policy Officer and a Research Economist, respectively.
Prior to joining the Bank, Eric had seven years of experience as an economist, statistician and econometrician in international and development economics - two as a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre d’Études et de Recherches sur le Développement International (CERDI) and five as a lecturer and research economist at the University of Lorraine and the National Institute for Agricultural Research in France.
Eric holds a PhD in Economics and a M.Sc. in Statistical Modeling for Economics from the University of Lorraine, France. He also holds a M.Sc. in Macroeconomics and Development Management from the University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.
