Christoffer Claussen, a Norwegian national, is an economist with more than six years professional experience in natural resource governance, evaluations, and data management and analysis. As of February 2022 he enrolled in the Young Professionals Programme of the African Development Bank Group. He joined IDEV in February 2023 as his second rotation in the Bank Group, supporting corporate and country evaluations.
Prior to joining the Bank, Christoffer worked as a Technical Manager at the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) International Secretariat, as the head of their open data team and leading several country evaluations. He has working experience from Côte d’Ivoire, Malawi, Nigeria, Norway and South Africa, and shorter missions to Indonesia, Kyrgyz Republic, Mauritius, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Ukraine, and Zambia.
Christoffer has a M.Phil. in economics and a B.A. in development studies from the University of Oslo, and his professional interests related to development economics, public financial management, evaluations, and natural resource governance.
