Alain N'Ghauran joined the African Development Bank in January 2023. He is an economist, with expertise in program and policy evaluation. Since 2015, he has contributed to several evaluation and research projects related to innovation, entrepreneurship and private sector development in advanced economies as well as emerging countries. He holds a PhD in economics of innovation from Saint-Etienne School of Economics.
At IDEV, Alain actively contributes to corporate, country strategy evaluations and knowledge dissemination activities. Before joining IDEV team, he worked as Consultant with Technopolis Group, a consulting firm specialized in analyzing and evaluating science, technology and innovation (STI) policies and programs. He also held a position of Research Fellow at the World Bank Group (within the Digital Development Global Practice) under the 2021 WBG Africa Fellowship Program.
