AbdulKareem joined IDEV.0 as a Quality Assurance consultant in October 2023. He is a social scientist and monitoring and evaluation expert with over thirty years' experience in international development and 22 years working in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL).
From 2012 to early 2023, AbdulKareem was a Principal MEL consultant with Itad limited, a specialist MEL firm in the UK, where he managed a portfolio of projects and programmes, including complex multi-county and multi-component evaluations, and monitoring and evaluation support to institutional/organisational development, private sector development, agriculture and livelihoods, education, and health. Before Itad, AbdulKareem worked with UNICEF, FCDO, ActionAid, the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), and with various philanthropic, bilateral and multilateral development agencies. He has extensive expertise in evaluation design and implementation, including quality assurance, as well as value for money assessments.
AbdulKareem holds a PhD in Rural Development and Masters’ degrees in Rural Development and Agricultural Economics.
