Over the past 5 years, the African Parliamentarians' Network on Development Evaluation (APNODE) has worked to enhance and advance the capacity of African Parliamentarians to improve their oversight, policymaking, and national decision making by ensuring that they demand and utilize evaluation evidence.
Under the theme: Shaping the Africa We Seek: The Vital Role of Parliamentarians in Evaluation Capacity Development, the 5th APNODE Annual General Meeting will, among other things, highlights the efforts of African Parliamentarians, in their role as catalysts of change, and drivers of an evaluation culture in Africa.
The AGM will also deliberate on how APNODE- working in collaboration with Regional Parliaments and the African Union - can help drive the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
